It's as much home as office, thanks to our exclusive Sheridan mirrored desk, paired with a gilded Charette chair of hand-carved mahogany. We added the Margaux stripe pillow for extra comfort. The nickel-plated Star clock on a granite base is a glam way to track your hours. Florence de Dampierre's Meadow double-gourd lamp is glossy green ceramic. The Jacqueline mirror is framed in crackled silver leaf with a champagne tint. To finish the look, we chose the hand-knotted Calm Leopard rug.SHOP ITEMS IN THIS ROOM >
Obviously, our design team felt the need to celebrate this glamorous workspace - champagne is chilling and flutes are close by!
The Bernhardt desk and étagère, both made of maple with an alabaster finish, are sleek and practical. Desk drawer fronts are faux-shagreen, and a keyboard or laptop are easy to access via the drop-front center drawer. The metal base has a matte finish that complements the etagere's antiqued silver-leaf back panels.
To soften the slate tile floor, we floated an ivory sheepskin rug. And to give the look extra sparkle, we chose Regina-Andrew's Star lamp; the six-point base has an antiqued mercury-glass finish.SHOP ITEMS IN THIS ROOM >
The desk, hutch, and credenza are all business, so our design team plays against type with unexpected color accents, abstract art, and a pair of wild guest chairs.
The bun-footed Waverly furniture is poplar with a glowing cherry veneer and plenty of cabinet and drawer space. We paired it with the Donabella tufted chair, but you could also opt for an office chair on casters.
Instead of a typical task lamp, we chose a blue ceramic lamp with a bamboo motif that helps illuminate the room as well as the workspace. Our popular Sunflower Zebra chair is a modified wing style for the perfect balance of traditional and transitional; we paired it with Regina-Andrew's gold-leafed Lazear side table with mirrored top.
We added a plush neutral rug for soft color and comfort, and finished with a bright abstract painting that really pops against charcoal walls.SHOP ITEMS IN THIS ROOM >
How much could you get done in this bright, feminine space? The birchwood desk and bookcase feature ornate openwork that takes them to a new decorative level. Instead of a traditional desk chair, we opted for our sleek Lindy slipper chair - so comfy, you could work for hours!
To define the work area, we chose the ribbed Terrain rug in ivory. And because we find art inspiring from a creative-thinking standpoint, we chose the "Pink" abstract giclee. And to keep the "home" in "home office," we chose zingy green Peanut as our desk lamp.SHOP ITEMS IN THIS ROOM >
We love the elegant efficiency of a traditional office suite, with a built-in place for everything and plenty of workspace. The Clarendon group looks really fresh in its weathered driftwood finish -- a lighter touch that makes it an easy fit in today's more casual living spaces. It even has a matching chair, upholstered in natural linen and with pneumatic height adjustment and swivel/tilt base. The built-in light in the hutch means you don't have to make room for a lamp, so there's even more room to spread out and get your work done.
Our soft blue Oushak rug adds a whisper of color and texture, keeping the "home" in "home office."SHOP ITEMS IN THIS ROOM >
