Dunlap Bedroom

From our Horchow Now collection, this bedroom balances luxe and laid-back in a distinctively 21st-century way.

The cotton-upholstered Dunlap bed is grandly tufted and nailhead-trimmed, with pretty turned legs in a glossy coffee-bean finish. Micah cotton knit bedding and Coyuchi organic linen sheets add a casual, cozy touch that works year-round.

We kept the pale cloudlike ambiance going with a hand-loomed ivory wool rug in a gorgeous basketweave pattern. For contrast, we chose the Taylor dresser and matching nightstands in ash with a subtle silvered wash for a vintage look. Regina-Andrew seeded-glass lamps have woven rattan shades for even more natural texture.

For the finishing touch, we love the "Cityscape" oil on canvas.

Karington Bedroom

From our exclusive furniture for Horchow Now, Karington is a solid-wood panel bed with an optional canopy frame, so you can change the look the way you change the sheets! The matching nightstand has a pullout surface above the drawer; there's also an 8-drawer dresser.

The simple, Parsons-inspired silhouette works with any bedding style from traditional to modern - we opted for coral/white Cozumel, a cotton print inspired by Southwestern concho motifs. An armload of embroidered dec pillows plus our Vonn chevron-stripe curtains add visual and textural interest, and pops of orange in the Sunburst lamp and garden stools keep the look sunny and fresh.

Shana Bedroom

We call this look Millennial Modern because it balances a rustic cerused wood finish with contemporary lines and surprising white accents. The bed has optional cedar-lined drawers built into the footboard - love that!

Whimsical Mimi cotton bedding is equally new and different with its "circus floral" pattern in a fresh mix of teal, chartreuse, and pink. The Cactus lamp with its saguaro-ribbed porcelain base is yet more proof that our whites are never plain.

The gray Woven Leather rug is the perfect luxe touch - and delightfully barefoot-friendly!

Bellissimo Bedroom

With a bed as breathtaking as this perennial favorite, there are two valid approaches: one is to surround it with simplicity; the other is to embrace its opulence with an equally ornate setting.

Obviously, we chose the latter. Our exclusive Bellissimo furniture is lavished with intricate carving, scrollwork, and finials, all with a shimmering gold finish. So Dian Austin's Roma bedding is a perfect pick with its gold-on-gold embroidered pattern plus gold velvet pillows.

Instead of crystal, we love the contrast of Janice Minor's exotic pierced iron chandelier. An oushak rug in shades of pale blue and cream, and a densely patterned gold-on-blue wallpaper, add a touch of cool color.

Lyford Bedroom

Artist/designer Lulu DK is always inspiring us with her use of color, and we were especially taken with the geranium hue of her Lyford bedding for Matouk. The floral duvet, star-embroidered sheets, basketweave motif Cove shams, and white piped pillow embroidered with berry branches make a coordinated and effortless designer mix.

The cane insets of the Elliana bed keep things light and breezy-looking. We decided the coastal feel could use a little blue, so we added the twin porcelain lamps and the adorable blue velvet Gratz bench at the foot of the bed. Our uber-popular Panthea rug adds a splashy graphic counterpoint to the bedding. Florence de Dampierre's quirky "Zigzag Pagoda" print adds a fun finishing touch.

Cotswold Cottage Bedroom

Look closely at the gorgeous botanical print of Dian Austin's bedding and you'll see our inspiration for dusty-lavender walls and deep purple rug. Blue burnout-velvet shams and dust skirt enhance the blues in the pattern and lend a glamorous but feminine edge to the setting.

To keep the glam going, we went to our mirrored furniture collection for a fabulous armoire, three-drawer nightstand, and the bench at the foot of the bed. Faceted crystal lamps with sheer double shades are pure Golden Age Hollywood. Two bird prints keep the bedding's peacocks company.

"Exuberance" Bedroom

We're entranced by both the colors and scale of the floral print in Legacy Home's 'Exuberance' bedding (and the coordinating chevron stripe pillows are a fabulous contrast). We let the pattern take the spotlight, opting for the muted tones of our 'Oceanside' oushak rug and the restrained pastels of a pink giclee print above the 'Shilo' mirrored bench.

We kept the reflective theme going with a silvery lamp table rimmed in mirrored panels and Regina-Andrew's antiqued glass lamp, an elongated gourd silhouette that adds just the right note of glamour. A Sofia Cashmere fringed throw is the luxurious finishing touch.

"Saugatuck" Bedroom

The perfect blend of sleek elegance and seaside casual, this room is dominated by the Lauren Ralph Lauren's 'Saugatuck' canopy bed and coordinating shutter-motif nightstand in pale wood. We mixed the 'Vannerie' coverlet in a driftwood color with 'Block Island' pillows from Dransfield & Ross House.

Every bedroom needs seating. We opted for Massoud's 'Serependipity' bench for its neutral cushion and clear acrylic legs that keep things from getting too busy visually. Then we added the 'Tango' leather chair with classic rolled styling.

'Grand Pyramid' lamps make a chic statement, backed by a pair of yellow abstract paintings. We upped the beach-cottage ante with faux-coral sculptures and Karen Robertson's framed starfish.

"Legacy" Bedroom

The Jacobean floral of Legacy Home?s Kazoo bedding is artfully balanced between bold scale and muted color, and the chevron-stripe dec pillows update the look with just the right pop of contrast. The Savoy headboard in light brown picks up the same shade in the bedding.

The Trevor chest brings a perfect bedside manner to the setting with its lightly textured burlap surface and practical drawer-plus-two-door storage. The Prism crystal lamp is faceted for extra light-catching glamour. For the perfect no-maintenance finishing touch, we chose the compact Evening White faux floral from John-Richard.

"East Bridge" Bedroom

Practicality has never looked so chic! The dual drawers built into the foot of the East Bridge bed are perfectly positioned for sheets, blankets, or quilts. We tucked in the bedding -- Marcus Cane Matelasse -- but you can let your duvet or coverlet drape over the drawers, too. The glossy dark chocolate finish and fluted columns flanking the headboard give the bed a timeless appeal, yet the lines are clean and simple to work with virtually any decorating style.

The East Bridge nightstand has an open shelf and a single deep drawer to keep things handy or hidden. We chose the Barcelona lamp with its matte-white base and raw linen shade to lighten things up.

"Charana" Bedroom

A retreat that will resonate with your inner Bollywood star, this bedroom spotlights John Robshaw's "Charana" bedding, with patterns plucked from authentic woodblock prints. We tossed in an armload of dec pillows from other Robshaw collections, weaving a palette of lavender and eggplant with accents of khaki, clay, and tangerine.

A reproduction rain drum makes the perfect side table, and patchwork poufs are exotic substitutes for a more traditional bench at the foot of the bed. For the floor, we chose Genevieve Gorder's "Wild Chev" wool rug in gray. The "Pattern Makers" metal chandelier by Regina-Andrew brightens the space with a gleaming antiqued-gold finish.

"Lavender Gray" Bedroom

As romantic as a gentle rain in Paris, this bedroom starts with "Archival Urns" bedding from Dransfield & Ross House (love the ribbon trim on the skirt!). The little wings of a button-tufted linen headboard add a subtle embrace.

Lighting is graceful and unique: the sculptural "Savona" floor lamp has a photo-mural shade, the "Perm" table lamp has a wire-caged shade and a base inspired by an architectural finial, and our "Salento" chandelier shines above it all.

Mirror adds touches of glamour in the "Woven Sunburst" above the bed and the X bench at the foot. We added our exclusive "Olivia" chair and ottoman for a cozy reading corner, and the "Landri" chest for its appealing bedside manner.

WHAT WE DID
& WHY IT WORKS

With Haute House, tufting isn’t just texture; it’s a grand gesture. We especially love their Larkspur bed – ours exclusively – for the elegance of deeply tufted linen in pale taupe and for the way headboard and footboard curve like a gentle embrace.

We chose silver-finished Rosendale sconces instead of traditional bedside lamps because (a) they’re gorgeous, and (b) they leave more space on the nightstands for our easy-care faux orchids, framed photos, and books or magazines.

The Latte Rust hand-knotted wool rug and damask Greyson bedding enhance the neutral palette with their refined patterns.

WHAT WE DID
& WHY IT WORKS

We never thought we would say "cozy" and "glamorous" in the same sentence, but this Peakaboo Bed changed our minds! The headboard is a unique blend of canopy and wing chair, deeply tufted and wonderfully inviting. Ball-and-claw feet add a touch of traditional elegance.

We opted for Mirage mirrored nightstands that almost disappear, a perfect example of low-key chic. Crystal was a natural choice for lighting, and we like the balance of whimsy in the Upside-Down chandeliers and simplicity in the Jagged Crystal table lamps.

We fell in love with the Paisley Blush bench and made it feel at home with blush pink walls and raspberry-cream Aphrodite bed linens lavished with ivory embroidery and velvet appliques.

The hand-knotted Tibetan Leaves rug provides a soft neutral finish to the space.

WHAT WE DID
& WHY IT WORKS

Inspired by a recent classic-movie marathon (think black-and-white detective dramedies), we channeled the spirit of Old Hollywood glamour into this bedroom.

Of course, it all began with the platinum velvet sleigh bed (Haute House), scrolled and tufted for maximum impact. Instead of the usual nightstands, we repurposed two mirrored hall chests and found they had a terrific bedside manner.

To balance the bed’s opulence, we chose simple crystal lamps that almost disappear (but still add to the room’s timeless elegance). And the Art Nouveau floral pattern sold us on the ‘Willows’ rug – what could be more Thirties chic?
