About Ardmore Ceramic Art:
A thriving community of artists in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands of South Africa, Ardmore Ceramic Art has been championing the work of local artisans since 1985, when founder Fée Halsted began teaching community members how to model and paint pottery. There are now more than 60 Zulu and Zimbabwean artists collaborating at Ardmore, and their whimsical ceramics, which feature the vibrant flora and fauna of their homeland as well as depictions of tribal traditions and folklore, grace homes and galleries around the world, from Basel’s Museum of Cultures to the White House.
