About the Artist: London-born artist Andy Burgess, based in Tucson, Arizona, creates modernist and mid-century architecture renditions, panoramic cityscapes, and mosaic collages from vintage papers and ephemera. Burgess explores the genesis of modern architecture in Europe and the us and its relationship to modern art, design, and abstract painting. He also creates collages from 1930s-50s American ephemera, deconstructing and reconstructing them into pop art pieces and cityscapes. Burgess continuously broadens his artistic skills by mastering various media, including photography and printmaking.
