The Wildflower Collection is a celebration of often overlooked, disregarded, and underappreciated flowers. The inspiration for Wildflower came from the discovery of a set of 19th-century hand-tinted, botanical illustrations which, over time, had faded to muted, dusty tones. Touched by how beautifully each wildflower had been rendered in the antique drawings, Aram took great care to capture and recreate the naturalistic movement and gentle hues in hand-enameled and sculpted metal. Uncultivated by definition, wildflowers, as interpreted by Aram, reflect the ideal of "perfectly imperfect" and capture a sense of carefree innocence in the fleeting joyfulness of nature.

About Michael Aram:
American artist Michael Aram studied art in New York in the late 1980s before traveling to India on an inspirational journey, where he discovered a rich metalworking tradition that inspired his turn toward handcrafted design. Michael Aram established a home and workshop in New Delhi, where he began crafting objects ranging from tableware to furniture, all of which reflect the hand of the artisan. Each Michael Aram piece is handmade, so no two items are exactly alike.
